At the heart of Sella Ronda and Dolomiti Superski in Corvara, Alta Badia
Corvara is the birth place of tourism in Alta Badia. The first hotels, the first skischool of Alta Badia and even the first chair lift of Italy (the Col Alt in 1947) where built here.
Garni bed and breakfast Oskar lies in a convenient position to reach the skilifts and the slopes. They are 500 m away from the garni, but thanks to the skibus, which stops in front of the house, you can reach them in just a few minutes.
Alta Badia is a paradise for every winter and skiing vacation type: blue and red slopes for beginners and families, black slopes for the most skillful skiers, valleys and hills for freeriders and ski touring. Corvara is part of the Sella Ronda and the Dolomiti Superski, biggest ski area of the world, with over 1.200 km of slopes and 12 ski areas. Alta Badia is one of these and directly link to most of the others, which means that you can reach with your skis Val Gardena, Marmolada, Kronplatz / Plan de Corones and Lagazuoi (Cortina).
The cross country skiing track of Corvara starts next to the Garni Oskar, but the real cross country skiing center of Alta Badia is in San Cassiano, in Sarè Armentarola.
Alta Badia and South Tyrol are also a paradise for those who want to experience new and alternative winter activities: showshoe excursions, sledge rides, ski touring, freeriding in the fresh snow, ice skating in the ice stadium.
